The internet is full of event listings. Most are noisy. A good local calendar does the opposite: it narrows the field to things that are actually on, in places a reader can reach, in time windows that match real life.
That means listing council festivals and library programs alongside the bigger ticketed events. It means making travel and parking clear. It means flagging which events suit children, which suit groups and which are quieter.
